Chad Cleland is the founder and head instructor of Snowflake Jiu-Jitsu, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, and a firefighter with the Taylor-Snowflake Fire & Medical Department.

His martial arts journey began in Kenpo Karate, where he earned his 2nd-degree black belt in 2006. After being introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he quickly developed a passion for the art and its unique blend of technical skill, problem-solving, and personal growth.

In 2012, Chad began training under Professor Paul Nava of Ares AZ, dedicating himself to refining his technique through years of training and competition. He earned his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in 2021 and continues to expand his knowledge both as a practitioner and instructor.

Whether serving his community as a firefighter or coaching on the mats, Chad is driven by the same core values: discipline, integrity, accountability, and a commitment to helping others succeed.
